Randy Field, director
For the last decade Randy has directed documentaries focused on social issues, including Crime of the Big Leagues the story of Lester Rodney, a largely forgotten hero in the fight to desegregate baseball. Crime is now on permanent exhibit at the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum in Kansas City and part of the permanent collection of The National Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown. Randy also directed Voices, about women who staged a play telling their true stories of pre-Roe abortions. His most recent documentary BASEBALL MENSCH: the Marty Lurie story is streaming on Amazon Prime and will be broadcast nationally on PBS.
Michael Pickman-Thoon, producer & editor
Michael is the co-founder and former president of Rough House Editorial, a San Francisco based video production and post production house that has operated for over 35 years. Michael has worked on broadcast commercials and corporate projects for numerous Fortune 500 companies including Apple, Meta, Nvidia, Google and Honda.
Michael collaborated with Randy Field on Crime of the Big Leagues, Voices, and BASEBALL MENSCH: the Marty Lurie Story.
Charlie Pearson, writer
Charlie’s work has been seen on PBS, ABC, HBO, Showtime, A&E, Discovery, National Geographic and throughout Europe. PBS credits include Keeping Score, featuring Michael Tilson Thomas and the San Francisco Symphony, The Promise of Play, The Digital Divide, and Who Killed the Electric Car. He was writer/associate producer of the Academy Award nominated short film Good Night, Miss Ann, and worked with Randy and Michael on Voices. He also wrote BASEBALL MENSCH: the Marty Lurie story.
